Build a financial life
that gives you more choice.
NurseMoneyDate® helps nurses build a relationship with money they can actually come back to for life. We help you understand what’s really happening and make decisions you trust. Then we help you use your money to create more choice around nursing, work, and the life you want outside of it.

Financial coaching that helps nurses feel
at home in their own financial life.
NurseMoneyDate® is a financial coaching and financial education company created specifically for nurses, founded by former pediatric ICU nurse April Waddell.
NurseMoneyDate® was created for nurses who want more than generic financial education. We help you understand the money you already have, make informed decisions without shame or pressure, and build a financial life that supports the career and life you actually want.
That might mean paying down debt, investing for the first time, making sense of your benefits, planning a major life change, or creating enough financial flexibility to work because you want to, not because you have to.
Read our guide to financial coaching for nurses →Your schedule, income, benefits, career realities, and goals matter.
We look at what is real without judging how you got there.
The goal is not more information. It is knowing what to do with yours.
Your financial life is connected.
Your coaching should be too.
Cash flow, debt, saving, investing, career decisions, and your relationship with money all affect one another. We help you see the whole picture so you can make decisions with more confidence and intention.

Collaborative. Unbiased.
Built for financial self-trust.
We do not hand you a generic plan and expect you to follow it forever. We look at your actual numbers, teach you what things mean and how they work, talk through the tradeoffs, and help you make the decision that fits your life.
Through the NurseMoneyDate® practice, including regular Weekly Money Dates, you learn how to come back to your finances, notice what needs your attention, ask better questions, and make the next decision without needing perfect certainty first. The goal is not dependence on a coach. It is confidence in yourself.
Your money is more than math.
We look at the numbers, but we also pay attention to the habits, questions, fears, priorities, and real-life circumstances shaping the decisions you make with them.
Client stories reflect individual experiences and are shared for educational and illustrative purposes. They are not promises or guarantees of specific financial results. Outcomes vary based on each person's circumstances, decisions, participation, and implementation.

Meet the nurse behind
NurseMoneyDate®.
April comes from a family of nurses, from her big sister in the OR to her mom working on an LTAC unit. As a Filipino, nursing isn't just a career. It's part of the culture and the language at home.
She grew up in Chicago and spent seven years working in healthcare, with the majority of that time as a pediatric ICU nurse. After stepping away from the bedside, she took everything she had learned about money and built something specifically for the nurses around her. NurseMoneyDate® launched in 2021 and has been growing ever since.

NurseMoneyDate® was built to be nurse-specific, because traditional financial advice often doesn't reflect the realities of this profession. The schedules, the income patterns, the emotional demands, the family dynamics; all of it shapes how nurses experience money.
April teaches both the strategy and the behavior because a financial plan only matters if you understand it, trust yourself enough to use it, and can keep returning to it as your life changes.
